Becker Farmsand Vizcarra Vineyards is a 5th Generation family owned 340 acre working fruit and vegetable farm that sells most of their products directly to the public.

For the past 100 years Becker Farms has harvested its own fruits and vegetables to provide fresh produce and a wide variety of value added products such as hand made pies, jams, cookies, cider, fudge and wines. In the last two years Becker Farms has adopted a field to table approach with all of its catered events serving items grown and picked for the occasion right from the farm or brought in from other local growers within a 100 mile radius of Becker Farms. Becker Farms believes that a farm fresh meal is a very basic yet integral part of maintaining a strong bond with families and friends. We believe this philosophy strengthens our communities and enriches our lives.

Becker Farms Goal is to provide families with the opportunity to visit the countryside and embrace what Mother Nature provides us among family and friends. It’s the simple things in life that make all the difference.

 

2008 turned out to be a good year despite the inclement weather that came our way last season. The fall harvest was plentiful and everyone
loved the new additions of “Becker Mountain” and “Phylotec, the biogenetic testing station”. If you didn’t get a chance to enjoy these new activities, don’t worry Becker Mountain will be open for kids of all ages this summer on Saturdays and Sundays starting June 13 from 12:00PM – 4:00PM. Phylotec will again be open this fall for the Halloween season. For the adults we also have some summer fun. Check out our “100 Mile Radius Meals” a five course wine and food paired dinner made with all Becker Farms or WNY grown food and products. Also back by popular demand are the vegetables!! In these difficult economic times what better way to spend a day with the family than picking your own fruits and vegetables. You can save money, have quality family time and come home with an arm full of fresh produce to enjoy! Peas, beans, corn, tomatoes, peppers, beets & salad greens are some of what is planned for the garden, along with our strawberries, cherries, raspberries, blueberries, & apples. made right here on the farm!

In 2009 we have been honored with the NYS Horticulture Society’s Century farm award. This prestigious award is given to farms that have been in continuous operation for more than 100 years while remaining in the same family. We have also been honored with the Small Business Association’s family owned business of the year for the WNY region.
